Terms of Service

soclever (“soclever,” “we,” “us”) provides a personal AI teacher app that generates lessons, explanations, quizzes, audio, and other study material on topics you choose. By creating an account or otherwise using soclever, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

You must be at least 13 years old to use soclever. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the app with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts, and we may suspend any account we believe belongs to someone under that age.

Lessons, answers, summaries, images, audio, and every other piece of content in soclever are produced by automated AI systems. We do not review, fact-check, or verify this content before it reaches you, and it can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading.

soclever is a study aid, not a source of professional advice. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, safety, or other decisions that matter, and always confirm anything important against an authoritative source. You are responsible for how you use the content the app generates.

soclever requires a free account. The free plan includes a limited amount of content and tutor chat. Premium is a paid subscription billed in advance through our payment processor, currently weekly or yearly, and it renews automatically at the price shown when you subscribe until you cancel.

Trial. Where we offer a paid trial (for example a few days of Premium for a small fee), the trial converts automatically into the subscription shown at checkout when it ends, and you are charged that price, unless you cancel before the trial ends. The checkout screen always states the trial length, the trial price, and the price that follows.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription. Cancelling stops future charges; Premium stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may also offer one-time purchases and free or promotional Premium time (for example for inviting a friend or answering a survey); promotional time ends on its stated date and is not redeemable for cash.

A paid subscription does not mean unlimited use. All plans, including paid ones, remain subject to fair-use limits, rate limits, and per-feature caps that we apply to keep the service running reliably and to manage the substantial cost of generating AI content. We may set, change, or enforce these limits, and we may throttle or temporarily restrict usage that is excessive, automated, or abusive. We may also change pricing or plan features on a going-forward basis, with notice for active subscribers.

You agree not to use soclever to:

• break any law or regulation, or to facilitate, plan, or promote illegal activity;
• generate or seek instructions for anything dangerous or harmful — including weapons, violence, self-harm, exploitation of minors, or other unlawful or abusive content;
• harass, threaten, defame, impersonate, or violate the rights or privacy of others;
• infringe intellectual property, or upload content you do not have the right to use;
• attempt to bypass usage limits, scrape the service, resell access, reverse-engineer it, or interfere with its security or normal operation;
• misrepresent AI-generated output as professional, verified, or human-authored advice.

We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that we believe violate these terms — at our discretion and, where we can, with notice.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. The topics, notes, files, images, voice input, and other inputs you provide remain yours. You grant us a limited license to process them as needed to operate and improve the service — for example, by sending them to the AI providers that generate your lessons and answers. Do not upload or submit content you are not allowed to share, or sensitive personal information you would not want processed this way.

Public courses. By default, the course you create — its topic and lesson outline — is published to our public catalog so other learners can discover and reuse it, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it there. Your progress, quiz answers, chats, and uploaded files are not published. Signed-in learners can make their profile and shared courses private in Settings.

Some teachers and other professionals use soclever to share lessons with their own clients. If you join through a teacher’s invitation, that teacher chooses and approves the material you see, and can see how you use it — including which lessons you opened, your quiz results, and the questions you ask the AI in their space, next to its answers. The teacher is responsible for their own services, their relationship with you, and any material they upload. Teachers who use soclever this way must have the right to share that material and must tell their clients (and, for a minor, a parent or guardian) how it works.

The soclever name, logo, app, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by law. These terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy or redistribute the app itself. Subject to applicable law and the rights of the AI providers, you may use the study content the app generates for you for your own personal, non-commercial learning.

soclever is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content it generates is correct.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, soclever and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You may stop using soclever at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will continue to apply.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of soclever after a change means you accept the revised terms.
