Privacy Policy

This policy explains what soclever (“we,” “us”) collects when you use our personal AI teacher app, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run the service well.

• Account information. If you sign in, we collect your email address and basic profile details (such as a display name or avatar). Before you sign in, we use a device-level identifier instead of an account.
• Content you provide. The topics you study, messages you send the tutor, answers you give, files and images you upload, and any optional personalization (like your field of work or your reason for learning) — so we can generate and track your lessons.
• Voice. When you use the live voice tutor or speak instead of typing, your microphone audio is streamed to our AI provider to transcribe it and reply. We use it to answer you, not to identify you by your voice.
• Usage and analytics data. How you interact with the app — pages viewed, features used, progress, and approximate device and browser information — used to understand behaviour and improve the product.
• Billing data. If you subscribe, our payment processor collects and handles your payment details. We receive subscription status and limited billing metadata, but not your full card number.

• To provide the service — generate lessons, save your progress, and sync across devices.
• To operate subscriptions, enforce usage limits, and prevent abuse.
• To analyze and improve the app, fix problems, and develop new features.
• To communicate with you about your account, security, or important changes.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and users.

Generating lessons requires sending the content you provide to third-party AI and infrastructure providers that power the app. We share data only as needed to operate the service. These providers include, among others:

• AI model providers (such as Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI) that generate text, images, and audio, transcribe speech, and help search your lessons;
• cloud hosting, database, file storage, and authentication that store your account and progress;
• a payment processor that handles subscriptions and billing;
• a product-analytics provider that helps us understand and improve usage;
• an email-delivery provider that sends sign-in codes, reminders, and receipts;
• a bot-protection service that checks requests come from a real person.

These providers act under their own terms and privacy policies and are not permitted to use your data for unrelated purposes. We do not sell your personal information.

Public courses and profiles. By default, the course you create — its topic and lesson outline — is listed in our public catalog, and signed-in learners have a public profile (display name and avatar) that others can follow. Your progress, quiz answers, chats, and uploaded files are never published. You can make your profile and shared courses private in Settings.

Teachers. If you join through a teacher’s invitation, that teacher can see your activity in the lessons they share with you — which lessons you opened, your quiz results, and the questions you ask the AI there, shown next to its answers. A teacher only sees activity inside their own space.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and afterwards only as required to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing us from the address on your account.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update much of your information in the app, and you can contact us to exercise any of these rights. You may also opt out of non-essential analytics where local law provides that choice.

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and progress, and measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser, though disabling some may affect how the app works.

If you have an account we may email you about your own studies — for example a reminder with your next lesson or a review question when you have been away — and about your plan and payments. Reminder emails can be switched off in Settings → Notifications or with the unsubscribe link in any email; emails about your payments continue while you have a paid plan, because they concern money you are being charged. We send persuasive offers only where you have agreed to receive them.

Links in our emails pass through soclever.io so we can tell whether an email was useful; we record the click on our own servers and do not use tracking images. If an address bounces or you report an email as spam, we stop sending to it. We keep a log of the emails we send you (recipient, subject, delivery status) for as long as you have an account.

soclever is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including the United States, where data-protection laws may differ. By using soclever, you consent to this transfer and processing.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
